The Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs serves as the Cayuga’s chief academic officer to ensure excellence across the full scope of the academic mission.

That includes working with division chairs and faculty as well as guiding the areas of study. It also includes oversight of the areas that support the academic mission, such as, assessment and program effectiveness, the library, the registrar, online learning, the concurrent enrollment program, workforce development and community education, academic partnerships, and others that contribute to the success of our students and faculty.

Welcome to Cayuga Community College! As its Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, I oversee the Division of Academic Affairs, which includes five distinct schools—Business, Health Sciences, Media and the Arts, Sciences, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, and Social Science and Education, as well as Community Education and Workforce Development, and a number of support services. I encourage you to explore our many academic programs and opportunities displayed on the website and then reach a decision more than 13 million students make annually when they enroll in a community college.

Among our many outstanding academic program offerings, you may be interested in exploring careers in the health sciences, such as our Nursing Program with its high licensure pass rate and job placements or the Health Sciences transfer program with SUNY Upstate. With the influx of available manufacturing positions in the local community, you may find our Advanced Manufacturing Certificate and Mechanical Technology Programs provide an “off-ramp” to a job in a high demand field. Whether you are seeking a career in Media Production, Business or Event Management, or desire a solid liberal arts transfer degree program, you will be challenged and supported as you explore our diverse programs, course offerings, and experiential learning opportunities.

Whether you are a high school student looking for a college that “fits” your academic and career goals, an adult learner seeking to either prepare yourself for a new career or improve your job standing by adding a new credential, or someone looking for a noncredit course that might ignite your interest in a new activity or career, Cayuga Community College is your connection to a life-changing experience.
