CHILD CARE CENTER

The Cayuga Community College Child Care Center is a state licensed, NAEYC and Quality Star NY accredited facility that cares for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old. The Center serves children of students, staff, and community contingent on space available. The Center is a site for the Auburn School District’s Universal Pre-Kindergarten. Subsidies are available for qualifying students.

AGES SERVED AND HOURS

Cayuga Community College Child Care Center serves children from the ages of 6-weeks to 12 years.

Hours of operation are from 6:30 am to 5:45 pm. We are open year round. UPK schedules may vary year to year due to UPK programming. Please contact the Director for specific dates and times of operation. Schedule options vary depending on need and availability.

Cayuga Community College Child Care Center serves the children of Cayuga students, faculty, employees, and community members. Children of Cayuga students receive enrollment priority.

We are also an approved site for the Auburn Enlarged City Schools Universal Pre-Kindergarten Program (UPK). Enrollment for this program (UPK only) is free to all participants and placement at our site is completed by the district. Before and after care is available on a limited basis. To check on availability of openings for your child or to get on the waiting list please call 315-294-8603. Our waiting list is continuous; we will do our best to accommodate start dates and schedules based on our enrollment.

STAFF

The Cayuga Community College professional staff includes a Director, co-teachers, assistant teachers, and part-time aides. Work Study students also offer appropriate assistance in the classroom. In addition, we offer opportunities for students enrolled at Cayuga, from a variety of academic fields, to gain experiences and observation hours within the Learning Environment.

PROGRAM FOR CHILDREN

At Cayuga Community College our philosophy is that the program exists to meet the needs of the children, families, and staff of the center; we encourage and support each child in all areas of development, fostering a sense of individuality while maintaining an “extended family” framework. We strive to meet and exceed the needs of our college and local community; developmentally appropriate practices are consistently utilized, and the children are our primary focus.

COST

Upon enrollment we ask a $50 registration fee per family. Pricing is based on age. This registration fee is waived for college students. For families with multiple children, we offer a $15 discount. Billing is completed monthly, and we accept cash or check for payment. Please contact the Center office for current fees.

MEALS

Children are served breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack. The times these are served vary by classroom & your classroom teachers can help you with this if needed.
