JOB DESCRIPTION:

Title of Position:  Full-Time Electrical and Electronics Technology Faculty

Appointment:  10-month Instructional Faculty, Temporary

Summary:

Cayuga Community College seeks a dynamic and dedicated individual to join our team as a full-time, temporary faculty member in Electrical  and Electronics Technologies. The successful candidate will demonstrate a passion for teaching, a strong background in electrical and electronics technologies, and a strong commitment to student success. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the education and training of students of diverse ages and backgrounds while meeting vital workforce needs.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Plan, develop, and deliver high-quality courses in electrical and electronics technologies, ensuring alignment with program goals and industry standards.
  • Facilitate engaging and interactive classroom and laboratory sessions to enhance students' theoretical and practical understanding of electrical systems and technologies.
  • Provide mentorship and academic support to students, promoting their success in the program.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in electrical technology, integrating relevant updates into the curriculum.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to continuously improve the curriculum, assessment methods, and instructional materials.
  • Participate in meetings and activities with college colleagues and industry partners.
  • Contribute to the recruitment, retention and overall success of diverse students.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Master's degree or higher in Electronics, Electrical Engineering or closely related field.

Bachelor's degree with substantial professional experience may be considered

Instructor or Classroom experience preferred.

COMPENSATION:

Compensation varies based upon profesional experience and education.

Minimum annual salary for the entry instructor rank is $65,670
