COURSE DESCRIPTION
THIS IS A HYBRID COURSE: A hybrid course is where some traditional face-to-face "seat time" has been replaced by online learning activities. The purpose of a hybrid course is to take advantage of the best features of both face-to-face and online learning.
For students with basic media and composition background, covers the fundamentals of watercolor and acrylic painting, color theory and color mixing, working from models, landscape and personal experience. The art of the past is discussed, assessed, and often utilized while encouraging new approaches to expression.
