COURSE DESCRIPTION

REMEDIAL COURSE

Topics include the algebra of whole numbers, integers, and rational numbers; binary operations involving polynomials; introduction of the laws of exponents; equation-solving techniques for first-degree equations; solving simultaneous linear equations by graphing, substitution and addition methods; word problems. No previous knowledge of algebra is assumed.
