Can I apply for admission if I have not yet taken the TOEFL exam?

Yes, we will begin the application process with the information you send us. As soon as we have your TOEFL exam, if that is the last item we are waiting for you will be accepted.

Can I continue my studies following graduation from Cayuga?

Although we cannot guarantee acceptance at another institution, College staff will assist you with the transfer process.

What is the application deadline?

Cayuga Community College does not have a specific deadline to apply, however because you will need to make an appointment with your Embassy, and make flight arrangements we suggest you start sending me information 6 months before the start of the semester you are interested in. That way if there is anything that needs to be updated for your file or if the information you have sent is not correct (i.e. bank statement); there will be time for you to mail these things to us (mail time could take 2-6 weeks). The College has to receive the necessary requirements (Academic, Financial and Linguistic) by August 1 for the Fall Semester and December 1 for the Spring Semester.

Is financial aid available for international students?

No.

Are scholarships available?

There is very little financial aid for foreign nationals to study in the US, with the possible exception of citizens of Canada and Mexico. Most grants, scholarships, and loans from public and private sources are restricted to US citizens. As a result, international students will find very little information about financial aid for international students. US students interested in obtaining funding for study abroad should see Study Abroad and Foreign Study Programs section.

Is student housing available?

Lattimore Hall, a privately owned and managed apartment building in downtown Auburn, was designed specifically to house Cayuga students from out of the area. With a capacity of approximately 90 students and on-site professional staff, Lattimore Hall offers 3-, 4-, and 6-bedroom furnished suites with phone, cable, and internet access.

Following my arrival in the United States, how do I travel to Cayuga Community College?

Once you have arrived at your port of entry you must have a connecting flight to Syracuse, Hancock International Airport. If your flight is scheduled to arrive in Syracuse between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, you may contact the International Office at Cayuga to arrange transportation to Cayuga Community College or Lattimore Hall.
