The International Baccalaureate (IB®) Diploma Programme is an academically challenging college preparatory program that is offered in some high schools, with written subject examinations at the end of the programme. High school students can earn college credit and placement for qualifying IB examinations. Courses are offered at two levels: Standard Level (SL) and Higher Level (HL); IB exam scores are reported on a scale of 1 to 7, with a minimum score of 4 required in order to earn placement and credits for qualifying exams.
Official transcripts/score reports from the International Baccalaureate (IB) Organzization are required for awarding of transfer credits. Transcripts/Score Reports will need to be sent directly to Cayuga Community College. Credits will not be awarded from the high school or unofficial transcripts. Entering students are encouraged to request these before advisement at Cayuga Community College.
