College Accommodations 101: What Students Need to Know

Join Cayuga's Accessibility Resources Coordinator, Dr. Karen Grella, for a virtual event discussing the process for requesting and receiving disability-related accommodations in college, while identifying the differences between high school and college accommodations.

Typical accommodations students receive will be highlighted including but not limited to: extended exam time, alternate non-distracting locations for testing, assistive technology, notetaking assistance, etc.

The presentation will conclude with information about how accommodations are not advantages for students but tools that remove barriers, promote independence, and help ensure all students have equal opportunities to succeed in college.

Time will be available at the end for Q & A.
