MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY AND BIOTECHNOLOGY

Medical Technologists perform lab tests used to diagnose and treat disease in a clinical setting while the Medical Biotechnologist works in a research setting, providing valuable data for scientific studies. Med Techs and Biotechs will have minimal to no patient contact. Students admitted to SUNY Upstate University in either program begin on a Fall rotation. Graduates from SUNY Upstate are eligible to take one of the several national licensing exams.
