Cayuga Community College offers two short-term manufacturing microcredentials that were developed in collaboration with Cayuga and Oswego County employers. All courses are offered in a hybrid format with courses meeting in-person on the dates below and online coursework completed in between course meeting dates.

ELECTRO-MECHANICAL SYSTEM FUNDAMENTALS MICROCREDENTIALS

This microcredential prepares students for entry-level positions in advanced manufacturing. Participants will receive hands-on and practical training on hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical motor control equipment used in industry. This microcedential consists of seven courses. Each course is approximately two weeks in length. Participants can take individual courses or the full microcredential.

Total Cost: $2,293
Total Hours: 200

This microcredential may be taken on the Cayuga Community College Auburn or Fulton campus.

Upon matriculation, individuals who successfully complete this microcredential earn 4 credits to fulfill Cayuga Community College›s ELEC 221 Industrial Maintenance Practices course.

This credit may be applied to Cayuga Community College’s Electrical Technology AAS, Industrial Maintenance Technology certificate, or Advanced Manufacturing certificate programs.

MACHINING FUNDAMENTALS MICROCREDENTIAL

This microcredential prepares students for entry-level positions in advanced manufacturing. Participants will be introduced to the trade skills of machining and CNC technologies, as well as hands-on and practical training. This microcedential consists of five courses. Each course is approximately two to three weeks in length. Participants can take individual courses or the full microcredential.

Total Hours: 140
