Accommodative and makeup testing services are available Monday-Thursday in the CAS for campus classes only. Due to social distancing requirements, students must schedule their tests in advance (see contact info below). Students will need a mask and a valid ID to test in the CAS.

Please note that college services are remote on Fridays, so campus testing is not available. Please see additional information below or contact CAS Director, Dr. Terry Kupp, with your questions terry.kupp@cayuga-cc.edu.

TESTING SERVICES

The following testing services are currently provided by the Center for Academic Success:

  • Placement Tests per current placement policies
  • Make-Up Tests for campus classes
  • Accommodative Testing for campus classes

PLACEMENT TESTS

Students may be required to take a placement test based on placement policies. Click here for more information on placement testing services. Placement tests are administered per Admissions, Student Engagement, or advisor referral. Students need to wear a mask and bring a valid ID to take a placement test in the CAS.

MAKE-UP TESTS

When a student is, in the faculty member’s judgment, unable to attend a scheduled exam in the classroom for a campus class for a legitimate reason, the CAS will administer the exam. At this time, students must schedule the makeup test in advance by calling the CAS on the campus where the test will be taken (Auburn: 315-294-8593; Fulton: 315-593-9328).

Faculty must complete an Auburn test cover sheet or Fulton test cover sheet and attach it to each test. Faculty should bring makeup tests to the CAS front desk with a completed cover sheet. CAS staff will secure the test until the test time. Faculty can also retrieve completed tests by visiting the CAS front desk. For safety purposes during the pandemic, only CAS staff members will have access to the test drawer.

ACCOMMODATIVE TESTING

Students with documented disabilities who are entitled to testing accommodations will be able to take unit/classroom exams for their campus classes in the Center for Academic Success. Faculty should bring tests with extended time/separate location accommodations to the CAS front desk with a completed Auburn test cover sheet or Fulton test cover sheet.

Staff will secure the test until the test time. Faculty can also retrieve completed tests by visiting the CAS front desk. For safety purposes during the pandemic, only CAS staff members will have access to the test drawer.

If a student has an accommodation that requires assistive technology, the test and test cover sheet should be emailed to the OAR Instructional Assistant on the campus where the test will be taken. These tests can be retrieved at the CAS front desk.
