CONCENTRATIONS IN THE DISCIPLINE
RESPIRATORY THERAPY CONCENTRATION
For transfer to a Respiratory Therapy program. Respiratory Therapists provide aid to people with breathing issues due to disease or injury. Therapists require excellent interpersonal skills and will work closely with patients as well as their families. Students are admitted to SUNY Upstate Medical University on a Fall rotation. Graduates from SUNY Upstate Medical University are eligible for national certification through the National Board for Respiratory Care and to become licensed in New York State.
