BOARD OF TRUSTEES

The regular monthly meeting of the Board of Trustees will take place on Thursday, October 22, 2020, at 8:00 am in the Business Industry Center (BIC) on the Auburn campus, 197 Franklin Street, Auburn, NY 13021 and in room F201 on the Fulton campus, 11 River Glen Drive, Fulton, NY 13069.

The public has the right to attend this meeting. COVID-restrictions may suspend in-person meeting capabilities.

The College is governed by a ten-member Board of Trustees. The Governor appoints four trustees for seven-year terms; five are appointed by the Cayuga County Legislature for seven-year terms; a student trustee is elected annually and serves for one year.

BOARD MEETING SCHEDULE

Board Meetings will be held in the Business Industry Center on the Auburn Campus, except for the January, May, and September meetings, which will take place on the Fulton Campus. Videoconferencing capabilities between the Auburn and Fulton campuses will be available each month for all committee meetings and Board Meetings. The public may attend at either site.

COVID-restrictions may suspend in-person meeting capabilities.

OUR MISSION

As stewards of this public education institution and on behalf of the communities we serve, the Board of Trustees of Cayuga Community College is responsible for:

  • ensure that Cayuga Community College is an integral part of our communities by serving the ever-changing needs of students and community members;
  • govern well by effectively setting policy, direction, and standards as a corporate body;
  • work toward common goals;
  • employ, support and evaluate the College president who works at the direction of the Board of Trustees;
  • ensure a positive climate for students, employees, and community;
  • oversee the College’s fiscal stability;
  • adhere to the stated core values.

In addition, the Cayuga Community College Board of Trustees is accountable to the State University of New York system and the Cayuga County Legislature, its local sponsor.

OUR VALUE STATEMENT

Cayuga Community College Board of Trustees speaks as a body-of-the-whole and commits to these core values:
