Just in time for the holidays, motivational speaker Yvonne Conte will share her perspective to “De-Stress the Mess” at 7 p.m. Thursday, November 8 in the Cayuga Community College Café, 197 Franklin St., Auburn. Her presentation is sponsored by the College Foundation’s Noreen and Michael J. Falcone Lecture Fund, and is free and open to the public.
Conte, who lives in Westvale, N.Y., sprinkles humor and stories from her Italian-American upbringing throughout her speaking and writing, including her most recent book, Cry, Laugh, Cook! A Collection of Essays, Conversations, and Conte Family Recipes. She is the author of more than 87 articles and six books, and presents 60 keynote addresses each year for such clients as Xerox Corporation, Time Warner, GE Global, AT&T, and Merck and Medeva Pharmaceutical.
Featured on national and regional television programs, Conte also offers workshops through Humor Advantage Training Inc. to teach participants the emotional and physical benefits of humor and how people’s thoughts and actions are linked to their results in life. Her uplifting message has reached more than 50,000 people across the United States and around the world.
Her books and materials will be available for purchase and signing at the event.
