The Cayuga Community College’s radio station WDWN (WIN-89 FM) will broadcast live the road games of the Auburn Doubledays baseball team, beginning with the season-opener on June 17. Games will be broadcast on 89.1 FM and on the station's web site www.wdwn.fm.
The Doubledays play the Batavia Muckdogs at 7 p.m. tonight in Batavia.
The radio station has broadcast Auburn’s Class A New York-Penn League minor league baseball team games annually for the past 10 years and intermittently during the 10 years prior to that.
WIN-89 FM is a 3,000-watt stereo broadcast facility, coordinated by the telecommunications program and operated by a Cayuga Community College student staff. The station has delivered a wide variety of music and shows to Auburn and the surrounding areas.
The Auburn Doubledays, which is affiliated with the Major League Baseball’s Washington Nationals, hosts its home-opener on June 18 at 7 p.m. at Falcon Park in Auburn.
