Nazi-Hunting Begins at Home for One-Man Show at CCC Theatre

DATE: 09-23-2008

One family's wartime secret. A one-man stage show. One night only.

Cayuga Community College will present the show Notes to the Motherland in the college's Bisgrove Community Theatre on Friday, October 10, at 8:00 p.m. The live performance will be free and open to the public.

Notes to the Motherland follows solo performer Paul Rajeckas in a funny, passionate, harrowing quest to discover his mother's role in Nazi atrocities during World War II. Pursuing dark hints among the Lithuanian immigrant community in Queens, New York, where he grew up, Rajeckas assembles a Chaplinesque crazy-quilt stage show that's musical and physical, quirky and poignant. Co-written by Rajeckas and director George L. Chieffet, the show has won rave reviews in the U.S. and Europe.

After the performance, the audience is invited to a Q&A with Rajeckas. Further information is available from the college's Student Activities office at 315-255-1743, extension 2232.
