College to Host Craft Fair December 3-4

DATE: 11-11-2005

Cayuga Community College will hold its 32nd annual Holiday Festival Craft Show in Spartan Hall on the Auburn campus the first weekend of December. The free public event will run from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 3, and from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 4.

More than 170 vendors from throughout the Northeast will display and sell a wide range of handcrafted items. A multicultural food court in the college cafeteria will offer tastes of American, Italian, Filipino, Native American, African American, and Ukrainian foods.

The festival will also feature performances by acoustic musician and roving singer-storyteller Stephen Baird. A Boston-based entertainer, Baird invites audiences to participate as he plays a variety of string and percussion instruments. The Auburn Players will host a holiday children's play, The Sound of Music in Concert, at 1:00 p.m. both days in the college theatre.

The annual Holiday Festival Craft Show is sponsored by the college's Student Activities Board. Additional information is available at 315-255-1743, extension 2232.
