Jackson will be joined by head and assistant coaches from Colgate, Cornell and Fairfield Universities, and from Canisius, Hobart and Le Moyne Colleges, to present basketball ideas, set plays, practice drills, and philosophies. “Our goal,” said Jackson, “is to provide access to some of the best coaching minds in hopes that participants will pick up a new drill, play or philosophy that may benefit their program.”
Planned topics include the secondary fast break, creating a competitive practice, the point zone, plays for special situations, individual player development, developing good footwork, and more.
Registration by May 5 costs $60 per individual or $100 per team staff (head coach and one or two assistants). The cost of registration on the day of the clinic will be $65 and $110 respectively. Group rates are available for a staff of more than three coaches. For details or to register, contact Cayuga assistant coach Jason Baribeau at 315-878-6233.
