Nursing Instructors

Job Description:

The Department of Nursing invites applications for a full-time and a part-time nursing faculty member who seek to join a team of committed nurse educators focused on student success. 

General duties include planning, implementation and evaluation of the mission, purpose, and objectives of the ACEN accredited Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) program at the Auburn Campus.



Full-time tenure-track Instructor of Nursing

Responsibilities:  Classroom and clinical instruction of nursing students in an ADN Curriculum.  Requires classroom and clinical instruction weekly.  Scheduled office hours for student conferences and academic advisement as well as assigned committee work is required.


Part-time Clinical Instructor

Responsibilities:  Clinical instruction of students in Auburn and Syracuse acute and long-term care facilities; plus office hours and meetings. 



Master’s degree in Nursing; expertise in areas of nursing assigned for teaching responsibilities; current active unencumbered licensure as a registered nurse in New York State.


Date to be filled:

The starting date of January 2015 for the full-time Instructor of Nursing and a starting date of September 2014 for the part-time Clinical Instructor.
