In order to qualify as a veteran for federal financial aid purposes you must meet certain specific criteria. Please answer the following questions and provide the requested documentation in order for us to determine your status.

______ 1. I have been in active service in the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, or Coast Guard and was released under a condition other than dishonorable. NOTE: Active duty training periods pursuant to an enlistment in the National Guard or Reserves DOES NOT qualify for veteran’s status.

______ 2. I was a cadet or midshipman at one of the service academies and was released under a condition other than dishonorable.

______ 3. I am not a veteran now but will be one by June 30, 2009. Enter date of expected discharge____________________.

______4. I am currently serving on active duty in the U.S Armed Forces or a National Guard or Reserves enlistee who is on active duty for other than training purposes.
