Financial Aid General InformationStudents should be prepared to pay for their own expenses for room, food, and transportation for the first five weeks of school. Your actual Pell award will be determined based on the number of credits you are enrolled in at the time of assessment. Student Responsibilities
Students may not receive financial aid if they owe a refund or are in default on any financial aid previously received. Withdrawing from courses may jeopardize future aid or cause a repayment on awards. Students are advised to seek counseling before making changes in their enrollment status. College policies on refunds and withdrawals are available in the Financial Aid office. Cayuga Community College is committed to equal opportunity in employment, admission, and treatment for all persons, without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, disability, gender, or any other basis prohibited by Federal or State Law. Part Time StudentsPart time students enrolled for six credits or more may be eligible to receive a Ford Federal Direct Student Loan. Students enrolled for 3-11 credits may also be eligible for Pell, SEOG, APTS, and Federal Work Study, based on financial need and program funds. DisbursementsLoans will be paid on the disbursement date on your Disclosure Form or after your promissory note is completed online, whichever comes later.
