The Cayuga Community College Alumni Association is booking a weekend bus excursion to New York City on Saturday and Sunday, November 12 & 13, 2016. The group will be staying at Hampton Inn, Manhattan/Times Square South; a prime location for participants to plan the activities of their choice.

Cayuga Community College has announced a new tourism management certificate program. Students are able to enroll immediately in this new one-year program for the fall semester which begins August 29, 2016. The certificate prepares students for entry-level careers in tour companies, tourism bureaus, destination marketing organizations, tourism promotion agencies, visitor centers, cruise lines, inns, and hotels. Cayuga Selected by U.S. Department of Education as Participant in New Dual Enrollment Pell Experiment
Cayuga Community College has been selected as an experimental site for the U.S. Department of Education’s Pell Experiment aimed at expanding access to college courses for high school students and increasing college graduation rates for at-risk students. Forty-four (44) postsecondary institutions – primarily two-year colleges – across 23 states have been invited to participate in this effort, which will allow high school students access to Federal Pell Grants.

Cayuga Community College Board of Trustees has announced the appointment of its newest Trustee. The Honorable Patrick V. Mahunik has been appointed by the Cayuga County Legislature to fill the unexpired term of Mr. Joseph Runkle who resigned in February, 2016. Mr. Mahunik will serve as Vice Chair of the Board’s Finance and Audit Committee and the Board’s legislative liaison.

Harlequin Productions of Cayuga Community College is proud to present David Rush’s adaptation of Herman Melville’s literary classic Billy Budd. This fictitious adventure leaves viewers on the edge of their seat when the young sailor Billy is left to defend himself against mutiny claims by dismal master-at-arms Claggart.

Cayuga Community College has announced the National Council Licensure Exam (NCLEX) score of its 2015 nursing class. The most recent graduates of the school’s two-year associate in applied science degree achieved a 100 percent pass rate.
As Cayuga’s nursing graduates have consistently done, the 2015 class surpassed the state and national average pass rates by 20 and 15 points respectively. The program’s five-year pass rate is a notable 99 percent.
