Men's Soccer Coaches

The men's soccer program's head coach is Daniel Ramin, replacing Godwin Iwelumo, who has taken a club soccer position in North Carolina. Ramin brings a unique perspective and background to his duties with the men's program. Playing internationally in a city league in Berlin, Germany, he learned a great deal about the game throughout his extensive travels around Europe. Ramin comes from a soccer family. His brothers, Pete, Dave, and Greg, have played soccer at Lock Haven University, Morrisville State and Syracuse University, respectively, earning all-American honors and playing on national championship squads. Ramin's family is also responsible for founding and operating the CNY Family Sports Centre, an indoor soccer facility in Syracuse, NY that Ramin currently manages. Ramin received his undergraduate degree in anthropology from SUNY Buffalo. He has also received his United States Soccer Federation D Coaching License.

Jon Ramin

A former standout player at Baldwinsville and Faith Heritage, where he was named first team all-CNY in 2000, Jon attended Le Moyne College in Syracuse, NY, helping that program gain national recognition. At Le Moyne, where he earned a degree in business Administration, he was a four-year student-athlete and helped the college to a record 17-2-1 soccer season in 2004. Jon holds a USSF National "D" coaching license. In 2005, he coached the Central Women's Open team in the Empire State Games. He currently coaches for CNY United FC, one of the noted youth clubs in Central New York. He also has many years of experience coaching camps and clinics at the Central New York Family Sports Centre.
