Men's Lacrosse 2008 Game Recaps

2008-03-30 - vs. Tompkins-Cortland CC
L 12-14

Once again the Spartans were led by Captain Nate North with 6 goals and 2 assists. Nate's favorite target Dan Hunt had 4 goals and 1 assist. Also scoring for the Spartan's Tim Schmidt and Mike Sherman. Mike opened the game with the first goal and also his first goal of his college career. Chris Stanton also added 1 assist in the game. The defense was led by DJ Delaney and Shawn Severin. Shawn also had 1 assist. Pat Cameron once again played a good game making 16 saves. Next game is Wednesday at Mohawk Valley CC.

2008-03-26 - vs. Herkimer CC
L 4-33

The team was directed by Captain Pat Cameron who had 17 saves in the first half in goal and Mark Green who had 11 saves in the second half. The offensive was once again guided by Nate North who had 1 goal and 2 assists. Dan Hunt who had 2 goals and Zach Waby who had 1 goal. The team's next game is Friday against Finger Lakes Community College.

2008-03-20 - vs. Genesee CC
L 8-13

The Spartans were defeated at home against Genesee CC by a score of 13 to 8. The teams were tied at half 3-3. The Genesee outscored the Spartans 10 to 5 in the second half of the game. Scoring for the Spartan's were Dan Hunt with 5 goals and 1 assist, Tim Schmidt, Zach Waby, and Andy Brown who each had 1 goal. Nate North was held without a goal, but he passed out 6 assists. Cayuga's next game is home against Herkimer on Wednesday night.

2008-03-13 - vs. Monroe CC
L 8-29

The Spartans of CCC opened up their 2008 season with a loss on the road to Monroe Community College. Despite the outcome of the game there were some positive plays and players during the game. Nate North has continued to see the field well be passing out 7 assists and also adding 1 goal. Dan Hunt was Nate's main target who netted in 4 goals. Also in on the offensive was Tim Schmidt who had 2 goals and freshman Chris Stanton who chipped in with 1 goal. On the defensive end of the field both goalies (Pat Cameron and Mark Green) played well and made saves when the team needed them to make a save.
