Men's Lacrosse
Men's Lacrosse made its debut at Cayuga Community College in the fall of 2002. We're thrilled to offer this exciting and popular sport, both for our student athletes and as a spectator sport for the community. In the 2006 season, Spartans finished with a best-ever 10-4 record and finished ranked #10 nationally in the final NJCAA poll and also qualified for the Region III Tournament...one of the most competitive lacrosse regions in the country.
As evidenced by the high quality of local high school lacrosse programs in Central New York and the Finger Lakes, we know there is a deep talent pool of experienced players from which we can draw. This is a great opportunity, both for Cayuga and for the students, to continue their lacrosse careers while getting a top-notch education at a first-class institution. Our success will be determined by how many of our lacrosse players are able to compete successfully, athletically and academically, for two years here, and then be able to compete for two more years at a four-year institution.
