Cayuga could not slow down a high powered Broome offensive as Broome raced to a 45-27 lead at the half. Corissa Quattrini scored 27 points to lead the Spartans. Ryan Reeder added 13 points. Cayuga will play Broome again on 2/29/08 at 8:00 p.m. in the Regional Quarter Finals at Tompkins-Cortland CC. Corissa Quattrini and Tiffany Collinsworth were named to the All Conference Team. Tiffany Collinsworth was also names 1st Team All Region.

2008-02-19 - vs. Finger Lakes CC
L 61-69
Playing one of it's best games all season on senior night, Cayuga lost a hard fought 69-61 battle to a very good Finger Lakes team. Tiffany Collinsworth led the Spartans with 23 points and Corissa Quattrini chipped in with 16 points. Cayuga finishes the season 14-12. Next game is Saturday at Broome in the conference tournament.

Cayuga could not slow down a fired up Broome team playing their last regular season home game. The Spartans fall behind 43-26 at the half and could get no closer than 11 points in the second half. Tiffany Collinsworth led the Spartans with 17 points. Cayuga made 21 out of 23 from the foul line, which is season best. The Spartans 14-11 play their final home game of the season Tuesday vs. Finger Lakes.

2008-02-13 - vs. Jefferson CC

Cayuga used a great defensive effort in the second half to gain a come from behind victory over visiting Jefferson CC. The Spartans down 34-26 at the half started the second half on a 15-0 run to take control of the basketball game. Tiffany Collinsworth led the Spartans with 19 points, 12 rebounds, and 5 assists. Corissa Quattrini scored 14 points and had 10 rebounds. Christy Nicandri added 10 points for Cayuga who is now 14-10 overall and 6-4 in the conference.

2008-02-10 - vs. Army Prep

The Spartans capped off a great weekend at West Point with a very exciting 44-41 victory over Armp Prep. Cayuga made three defensive stops in the last inute to hold on for the victory. Tiffany Collinsworth led the Spartans with 12 points and 8 rebounds. Corissa Quattrini scored 11 points and 10 rebounds. Cayuga is now 13-10 overall and 5-4 in the conference.

2008-02-06 - vs. Corning CC

The Spartans had their best offensive game of the year in a big win vs. Corning. Cayuga hit a season high eleven 3 point shots and six players scored in double figures. Corissa Quattrini led the team with 26 points. Ryan Reeder, Tiffany Collinsworth, and Stephanie Jakaub all scored 12 points. Tiffany also had 11 rebounds. Courtney Dare scored 11 points and had 5 steals. Christy Nicandri chipped in with 10 points. Kaitlyn Liccion had 6 assists. The Spartans now 12-10 overall and 5-4 in the conference, play Sunday at West Point vs. Army Prep school.

A bad stretch at the end of the first half proved costly as Cayuga lost a hard fought 77-61 game to Onondaga. Corissa Quattrini led a balanced attack with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Christy Nicandri scored 14 points. Tiffany Collinsworth had 13 points and 8 rebounds and Courtney Dare added 10 points. Cayuga falls to 11-10 overall and 4-4 in the conference. Their next game is at Corning CC on 2/6/08.

2008-01-30 - vs. Tompkins-Cortland CC

Thek Spartans were able to withstand a torrid first half shooting performance by TC3 which saw them hit six 3 pointers and shoot 75 percent. We were down 26-13 with eight minutes left in the first half. From that point we played a very good basketball game. Tiffany Collinsworth led Cayuga with 26 points. Corissa Quattrini scored 13 points. Stephanie Jakaub added 10 points. Cayuga is now 11-9 and 4-3 in the conference.

A combination of Cayuga playing poorly and Finger Lakes being very good led to a blow out loss for the Spartans. Corissa Quattrini led the Spartans with 18 points and 8 rebounds. Tiffany Collinsworth chipped in with 15 points and 8 rebounds.

Despite playing extremely hard the Spartans could not overcome a big early deficit against a very good Broome team. Broome raced out to a 19-4 lead after five minutes. The Spartans could never recover. Tiffany Collinsworth led Cayuga with 17 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals. Corissa Quattrini scored 10 points and had 8 rebounds. Cayuga plays at Finger Lakes CC on January 26th.

Overcoming a terrible first 8 minutes in which we were down 28-12 the Spartans stormed back for a 74-58 victory. Balanced scoring was the key to the victory as 5 players scored in double figures led by Corissa Quattrini 17 points and 8 rebounds. Kaitlyn Liccion scored 15 points. Christy Nicandri scored 13 points and Courtney Dare and Tiffany Collinsworth chipped in with 10 points a piece. Tiffany also pulled down 8 rebounds. Cayuga is now 10-7 overall and 3-1 in the conference.

Playing the best defense we have played all season in the second half of the game, we were able to pull away from Corning and win our second conference game 62-50. Corissa Quattrini led the Spartans with 23 points and 10 rebounds. Ryan Reeder scored 10 points and played a great defensive game. Courtney Dare scored 9 points and Tiffany Collinsworth chipped in with 7 points. Cayuga now 9-7 overall and 2-1 in the conference plays at Jefferson CC on January 19, 2008.

Onondaga CC was able to pull away late in the game for a lopsided victory. Cayuga was trailing only 32-25 at the half and 47-42 midway through the second half but OCC finished the game on a 13-2 run to extend the lead to 20. Tiffany Collinsworth led the Spartans with 27 points. Corissa Quattrini added 13 points. Kaitlyn Liccion scored 8 points and Christy Nicandri chipped in with 7 points. Cayuga returns home Tuesday for a conference game vs. Corning CC.

2008-01-10 - vs. Tompkins-Cortland CC
W 77-45
After a sluggish first half the Spartansplayed a great second half to break open a close game and win the conference opener. Cayuga, which led 34-27 at half, outscored TC3 43-18 in the second half to take control of the game. Tiffany Collinsworth again led the Spartans with 29 points and 6 rebounds. Corissa Quattrini scored 17 points and pulled down 8 rebounds. Ryan Reeder added 9 points and had a team high 8 assists and Stephanie Jakaub led the defense with 6 steals. The Spartans now 8-6 on the season travel to Ononda CC on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.

2008-01-06 - vs. Herkimer CC
L 43-60
After battling back from a nine point first half deficit to take a 25-23 lead at half, the Spartans could not overcome a cold shooting second half. We looked extremely tired in the second half and Herkimer was able to take advantage of that fact. Corissa Quattrini led the Spartans with 15 points and 13 rebounds. Courtney Dare and Stephanie Jakaub scored 7 points each while Tiffany Collinsworth and Caitlyn Bielec pulled down 8 rebounds each. Cayuga now 7-6 on the season opens their conference season January 10th at TC3.

The Spartans started the second semester with their best shooting performance of the season hitting 9 three pointers. Corissa Quattrini led the Spartans with 17 points and 14 rebounds. Courtney Dare scored 13 points and hit four 3 point shots. Tiffany Collinsworth and Kaitlyn Liccion added 11 points each.

2007-12-06 - vs. SUNY Delhi
W 68-55
Cayuga played its second strong game in a row to earn an impressive 68-55 victory over a Delhi team which came into the game with an 8-2 record. Tiffany Collinsworth scored a career high 33 points to lead the Spartans. Kaitlyn Liccion added 11 points and Christy Nicandri chipped in with 7 points. Cayuga now 6-5 is off until January 5th when they will play Schenectady Community College.

2007-12-02 - vs. Hudson Valley CC
W 63-48
The Spartans played their best defensive game of the year today in a 63-48 win over Hudson Valley. We bounced back very nicely after a very dissapointing loss on Friday night. Tiffany Collinsworth led a balanced attack with 19 points. Corissa Quattrini scored 11 points. Courtney Dare and Amirah Flynn added 9 each. The Spartans evened their record at 5-5 and will host Word of Life College on December 4, 2007.

The Cayuga women's basketball team lost a hard fought game with Clinton CC. The Spartans could not overcome a 2-11 shooting performance from the foul line. With the game tied at 50 with five minutes remaining the home team could not score another point. Tiffany Collinsworth again led the Spartans with 28 points and 12 rebounds.

2007-11-27 - vs. Jamestown - Olean CC
W 81-51
Cayuga had their biggest offensive output of the season with an 81-51 victory over Jamestown-Olean. Tiffany Collinsworth scored 20 points and had 10 rebounds. Caitlyn Bielec scored a career high 19 points and had 11 rebounds. Courtney Dare added 11 points and Christy Nicandri scored 10 points. With the victory Cayuga improves to 4-4 on the season. Cayuga hosts Clinton Community College on November 30, 2007.

2007-11-20 - vs. Mohawk Valley CC

After playing some of our best basketball of the season for the first 23 minutes of the game, the Spartans could not keep pace with a very talented Mohawk Valley team. With 17 minutes left in the game Cayuga trailed only 34-31 but Mohawk Valley made six three's in the second half to pull away from the Spartans. Tiffany Collinsworth led the Spartans with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Kaitlyn Liccion added 8 points for Cayuga which falls to 3-4 on the season.

2007-11-18 - vs. SUNY Cobleskill

Cayuga fell to a very good Cobleskill team in the Championship game of the Cayuga Classic. After keeping it close for much of the first half the Lady Tigers were able to put the game out of reach early in the second half. Courtney Dare led the team with 10 points. Stephanie Jakaub added 9 points and Tiffany Collinsworth chipped in with 8 points and 9 rebounds. Courtney Dare and Tiffany Collinsworth were named to the All Tournament Team. The Spartans now 3-3 on the season travel to Mohawk Valley on November 20, 2007.

After a sluggish first half in which Cayuga led 25-23 the Spartans started the second half on a 9-0 run to take control of the game. Tiffany Collinsworth led the team in scoring with 16 points. Ryan Reeder scored 12 points and Christy Nicandri added 11 points. The Spartans will take on a very good Cobleskill team in the tournament championship game tomorrow.

The Spartans trailed 32-20 at the half but came out ice cold to start the second half scoring only 3 points in the first 9 minutes after the break. Tiffany Collinsworth scored 11 points to lead the Spartans. Ryan Reeded added 10 points and Aaliyah Muhammad chipped in with 7 points in her first game of the season.

Led by their two returning sophomores, the Cayuga Spartans beat Fulton-Montgomery for the first time in school history 68-60. Tiffany Collinsworth led the team with 21 points and 12 rebounds. Courtney Dare scored a career high 15 points with (3) 3 pointers. Ryan Reeder chipped in with 12 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals while fellow freshman Kaitlyn Liccion scored 11 points, pulled down 7 rebounds, had 3 assists, and 4 steals. The Spartans 2-1 play host to Division II Alfred State College on Tuesday, November 13th.

Despite getting off to a good start the Spartans could not overcome a poor shooting performance and lost a 66-55 decision to Herkimer Community College. Tiffany Collinsworth led the Spartans with 22 points and 13 rebounds. Christy Nicandri chipped in with 10 points. The Spartans now 1-1 on the season host Fulton-Montgomery Saturday, November 10th at 1:00 p.m.

The Cayuga Spartans opened the season with a hard fought road victory over Adirondack 72-63. Scoring balance was the key to victory as 8 players scored at least 6 points. Kaitlyn Liccion led the attack with 15 points, 5 assists and 2 steals. Tiffany Collinsworth scored 10 points, had 6 assists and 7 steals. Stephanie Jakaub scored 10 points and had 4 rebounds.
