If you are interested in the Nursing program at Cayuga Community College, please bookmark this page. We will post information here on applying for admission to:

  • The next full-time weekend program at the Fulton campus, starting in January 2009
  • The next full-time day program at the Auburn campus, starting in September 2009

The application deadline has passed for

  • Fall 2008 start
  • Spring 2009 start

When you apply, you will need to provide documentation for the following prerequisites:

  1. High school or equivalency diploma; minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0
  2. Satisfactory completion of high school or college biology
  3. Satisfactory completion of high school or college chemistry
  4. Math proficiency in algebra—may be met by:

    1. On the Cayuga placement test, testing into Math 102 or higher, or
    2. Successful completion of Math 099 at Cayuga or another institution, or
    3. Completion of calculus or higher in high school
  5. Completed physical examination and immunization record in accordance with specific health agency requirements. This record must show no physical condition which would prevent your satisfactory and safe performance of RN duties, and it must be updated annually.

We encourage all current and future Nursing applicants to consider enrolling first in the Liberal Arts: Humanities and Social Sciences program at Cayuga. Because the Nursing program is academically challenging, many students enroll in the Liberal Arts program first, to complete their prerequisite courses and Liberal Arts electives. This plan allows three years to complete the Nursing program.

We encourage you to contact the Admissions office with any questions you have about Cayuga’s Nursing program. You may e-mail admissions@cayuga-cc.edu or call the campus where you plan to take classes:
