On-Campus Opportunities For Advanced StudyThe following opportunities for advanced study are offered on the Cayuga campus:
Bachelor's and Master's Degrees: SUNY Empire State College (Auburn unit)Students can earn a State University of New York bachelor’s degree through Empire State College (ESC) by doing independent study at the Cayuga campus. Cayuga students can plan an ESC bachelor’s degree in coordination with their Cayuga Community College associate’s degree. Empire State College is a fully accredited college of the State University of New York, offering bachelor’s degrees in most academic areas as well as master’s programs in business, labor, social policy and liberal arts. Students design their own programs, studying at a convenient pace, one-to-one with SUNY ESC faculty in Auburn. Credit may also be awarded for learning acquired from non-classroom experience. Year-round admissions are available. Further information on all SUNY-ESC programs is available from the Empire State College office (M314, Main Building) on the Cayuga campus or by calling 315-255-2794. Bachelor's Degree: Excelsior CollegeExcelsior College (formerly Regents College) offers students a nontraditional and alternative manner of earning a bachelor's degree in liberal arts, business, nursing, health sciences and technology. Students may fulfill advanced degree requirements by taking additional courses at Cayuga (90 or more credits required for a bachelor's program). Additional credits may be earned through coursework at area four-year colleges and universities, examinations, distance learning options, credit awarded for military and business/industry training if evaluated by ACE or PONSI, and special assessment. Excelsior College does not have a residency requirement, which means they put no limit on the number of credits a student can transfer as long as that coursework meets degree requirements, and all programs are self-paced. However, due to our articulation agreement with Excelsior, students who take at least 12 credits in Excelsior coursework will receive reduced pricing. For additional information contact Cayuga’s Student Development Center or visit www.ccpartnerships.excelsior.edu. Bachelor's and Master's Degrees: Keuka College Accelerated Studies for Adults Program (ASAP)Keuka College offers its Accelerated Studies for Adults Program (ASAP) at Cayuga Community College’s Auburn campus to meet the needs of busy working adults.
