Make-Up Tests

When a student is, in the faculty member's judgment, unable to attend a scheduled exam in the classroom for a legitimate reason, the ASC will administer the exam. Faculty must complete a Test Cover Sheet and attach to each test.

Accommodative Testing

Students with documented disabilities whose accommodations indicate alternate site testing will be able to take unit/classroom exams in the Academic Support Center. Faculty members are asked to adhere to established guidelines when directing a student to accommodative testing.

Practice Tests

Some course-specific practice tests may be housed in the ASC. Students can take these tests home if they wish, or take them in the ASC.

Tests Administered via the Computer

ASC staff will administer these tests according to faculty members' wishes as stated on a completed Test Cover Sheet. The student will be placed in a secure testing environment.

Tests for Students Enrolled in Online Courses

Although the ASC does not have the facilities or staff needed for testing entire classes of students, occasionally it may be necessary to administer a test for an online student at one of Cayuga's campuses. ASC staff will administer these tests according to faculty members' wishes as stated on a completed Test Cover Sheet.

Tests for Individuals Not Enrolled in a Course at Cayuga

ASC staff will administer these tests according to faculty members' wishes as long as the $40 test administration fee has been paid and proof of payment (receipt) is presented at the time of testing. Payment can be made in the College's Business Office during normal business hours.
