Individual Peer Tutoring

Some students prefer to work with a tutor privately without the distractions found at a drop-in table or in a study group. Individual tutoring may take place on a regular basis over the course of the semester or on a sporadic basis.

What to Expect during Peer Tutoring

Once you have requested individual tutoring, a trained peer tutor will contact you to coordinate a weekly study time and determine a meeting place. If there is a change in the tutoring schedule or a sudden conflict, the peer tutor will contact you. (If you fail to arrive within 15 minutes of the appointment time, the tutor will leave.) At the end of a session, the tutor will address what work needs to be completed outside the session and discuss plans for the next meeting.

Interested in Peer Tutoring?

If you are interested in individual peer tutoring, complete a Request for Peer Tutoring Form and the Tutorial Coordinator (Teresa Hoercher in Auburn; Sarah Yaw in Fulton) will connect you with a tutor.

If you are interested in becoming a peer tutor, complete and return an Application to Become a Peer Tutor or speak with Teresa Hoercher in Auburn or Sarah Yaw in Fulton.
